On April 1, JFE Shoji Trade held an initiation ceremony at its head office for the fiscal year 2024, welcoming a total of 43 new employees to the company! The new employees were full of hope as they approached the ceremony with an imposing posture despite the tension in the air.

During the ceremony, President Kobayashi gave the new employees the words "Jiko" (think for yourself) and "Open" (open). Self-consideration" means to think about everything by oneself, to speak one's own words, and to act on one's own initiative. Open" means to have honest discussions, to bounce ideas off each other, to brush up on our thinking, and to arrive at the "best idea" at the time. He also conveyed the importance of working with a sense of speed while executing these two in this age of uncertain information.

New employees will receive training over the next month to acquire business manners and a wide range of business knowledge, after which they will be assigned to their respective departments. We sincerely hope that all of you, who have had a constrained student life due to the coronavirus, will be able to breathe new life into your respective departments and lead a wonderful working life that is close to your ideals.
