JFE Shoji Trade Corporation held a presentation of its business reform activities (commonly known as J-MUSCLE) on November 10 and 13, and December 18 and 19, 2023.
Since 2008, we have been engaged in business reform activities as J-SLIM, aiming to improve business efficiency and performance. On the occasion of the 15th anniversary of the activities, the name of the activities was changed from J-SLIM to J-MUSCLE and the activities were expanded in order to increase awareness of the need to add value in addition to improving operational efficiency and to realize increased operational value.
Presentations were again held online this year, with a total of 22 organizations making presentations, including 15 organizations selected from each division and 7 domestic and overseas group companies. An average of 120 Minebea Group employees watched each presentation and shared examples of improvements and initiatives by each organization. This year was characterized by an increase in the number of reports on initiatives that involve cooperation with others both inside and outside the company, with one organization forming a team within the headquarters to address a common issue as a cross-functional activity and another promoting system development in cooperation with customers and suppliers.
We believe that continuous change, even if it is a small change, strengthens the company's structure, and we aim to foster a corporate culture that constantly seeks change. We will continue our activities to review our traditional work styles, ways of thinking, and approaches, and to create a new, more productive structure.
