On December 3, the Osaka Sheet Metal Department held a softball tournament at Maishima Sports Island in Konohana-ku, Osaka City. More than 100 people from nine companies participated in the event, which was part of the activities of the "Koryukai," an organization formed by the department and eight coil center companies. This was the fourth time this softball tournament was held, although it started in 2017 and was canceled due to the Corona disaster.

In addition to MHI, eight other companies participated: Omi Sangyo, Osaka Kohatsu, Godai Sangyo, Sankyo Noritake Kogyo, JFE Shoji Konan Steel Center, Daiyu Kogyo, Naigai Steel, and Hironai Steel (in alphabetical order, titles omitted). As a result of the heated competition, JFE Shoji Konan Steel Center won the championship for the second time. The runner-up was Sankyo Noritake Kogyo, and the third place went to Naigai Steel.

After the competition, an awards ceremony and reception were held at Omi Sangyo, where trophies were presented and the MVP was announced. Mr. Okazaki, a member of JFE Shoji Konan Steel Center, the winner, said, "We won the competition this time because we watched and studied the games of Naigai Steel, which had won the competition twice before. It can be said that we did not win on our own, but with the cooperation of Naigai Steel," he commented to a round of applause from the participants.
