At the 75th National Calendar Exhibition sponsored by the Japan Federation of Printing Industries and Fuji Sankei Business i, JFE Shoji Group's overseas calendar for 2024, "Scenes - Lyrical Landscapes" won the "Executive Committee Encouragement Award" following last year. Winning an Encouragement Award or higher accounts for about 15% of all awards, and this year, 69 works out of a total of 439 entries were selected for the award.

As this year marks the company's 20th anniversary, the theme of this year's contest was "taking the next step forward by adding a new perspective to the experience gained to date. For this year's edition, we have chosen new printmaker Kawase Tomoe Sui. He is the man who established a new Ukiyoe printmaking style to revive the declining Japanese Ukiyoe prints, and his works are highly acclaimed worldwide as an art form that combines Japanese traditions with modern elements. The cover design is inspired by modernity, and the prints are selected to match the four seasons.

Each of the winning works is on display for five days from January 29 (Mon.) to February 2 (Fri.) at the Tokyo Sankei Building B1F and B2F Brick Gallery. Our calendars are also on display, so please take a look!
