On December 8, JFE Shoji Trade Corporation held a ceremony to mark the completion of the new office of Nippon Zairyo Kogyo Corporation, an electromagnetic steel sheet processing company in the JFE Shoji Group.

The company was established in Suita City, Osaka in 1964 for the purpose of heat treatment of electromagnetic steel cores. In the same year, the company began construction of its Harima Plant in Kasai City, Hyogo Prefecture, where it is now located. With the expansion of the Harima Plant in 1978, the company consolidated its head office functions and production from Osaka to the present. The old office had been under construction for about 50 years and was deteriorating in terms of heat insulation and soundproofing. The study began five years ago to improve the working environment for employees and increase their motivation.

The new two-story office building has an office space and the president's office on the first floor, and two conference rooms and a cafeteria that can be connected to each other on the second floor. The design of the new office was led by Mr. Maeda, Deputy General Manager of the Administration Department, who took this opportunity to introduce a free address system for the first floor office. The second floor cafeteria is a large space where all employees can be seated, with a wood-grain base and chairs in bright colors such as blue, green, and orange. The walls are covered with greenery. In addition, the OA equipment in the conference room was revamped, and a large-screen LCD and ELMO digital whiteboard were installed.
