On November 26, a total of five volunteer employees of the Osaka Branch Office and one family member participated in the "Osaka Great Santa Run 2023" held at Osaka Castle Park. The event is a charity event in which participants dress up as Santa Claus, run or walk while enjoying an extraordinary experience, and use the participation fee to purchase gifts to be donated as Christmas presents to children battling illnesses. Although the country of origin is unknown, the event is held in more than 100 locations in the United Kingdom each year, and the Osaka Great Santa Run is modeled after the one held in Edinburgh, England.

On the day of the event, the weather forecast of "midwinter-like cold" turned out to be wrong, and the weather was warm and pleasant, perfect for walking. About 3,800 Santa Clauses, accompanied by their dogs and children, walked at their own pace along the 4-kilometer path through Osaka Castle, taking in the beautiful ginkgo tree-lined avenue and Osaka Castle. After reaching the goal, the children were asked to fill out a message, and along with the message, Christmas presents will be given to children battling illnesses at 14 medical institutions in Osaka, Kyoto, and other cities. In addition to this event, the JFE Shoji Group will continue to promote social contribution activities in the future.
