Thick Plate Office/ Mr. Ichino won three consecutive national championships in sailing!

Mr. Naoki Ichino of JFE Shoji Trade Corporation has represented Kanagawa Prefecture in the "Burning Emotions Kagoshima National Sailing Competition 2023" and successfully won the title for the third consecutive year.
The competition was originally scheduled to be held over four days from October 8, but due to bad weather conditions, the format was suddenly changed to four races on the last day of the competition. In preparation for the event, Mr. Ichino had been training physically for two and a half hours every day since January of this year, and one week before the event, he used weather forecasts to predict the direction of the wind and wave conditions in order to plan his strategy for the race. Her efforts paid off, and on the day of the competition, she was not only physically prepared, but was also able to move her body as she had imagined, leading to her victory.
Mr. Ichino was born in Hayama, a seaside town located in the western part of Miura Peninsula in Kanagawa Prefecture, where many people around him were involved in marine sports. I would like to continue to apply the "athlete's spirit" I have acquired through my 29 years of sailing to my work and life. Sailing is a stimulating sport that I hope to continue for a long time as a way to refresh my work. I would like to continue sailing for a long time to refresh myself at work," he said.

Sailing is a sport in which sailors use the wind from the sails of their boats as a source of power to glide over the ocean, competing on their sailing skills and yacht speed.
