On November 16, JFE Shoji Trade Union held its annual "Wine Party" online to coincide with the release date of "Beaujolais Nouveau" handled by our group company, Kawasho Foods, and about 70 people attended.
At the opening event, Mr. Yugawa of JFE Shoji Trade Union and two members of Kawasho Foods, Mr. Sugimoto, warmed up the place with their comedy routine "Wine corned beef gymnastics (la la la la la gymnastics)". Afterwards, Mr. Izawa, a sommelier, and Mr. Romaine, a producer living in France, explained the basics of Beaujolais Nouveau, how it is made, and how well it turned out this year. Furthermore, the party was very exciting with the promotion of "Nozaki's Corned Beef Zip Hoodie," a collaboration between Nozaki's Corned Beef and Hardcore Chocolate Co. At the end of the party, a big lottery was held to win luxurious prizes handled by "JFE Food Bazaar (JFE Group's exclusive EC site operated by Kawasho Foods)," and the winners received a bacon and sausage set, Japanese sweets from a famous restaurant, and more.
Participants expressed their great satisfaction with the event, saying that the opening comedy was funny and that the Beaujolais Nouveau tasted even better than usual, perhaps because they drank it after learning more about it.
