JFE Group held a joint "Men's Maternity Leave Seminar"!

On November 8, JFE Shoji Trade Corporation, together with JFE Steel Corporation and JFE Engineering Corporation, held the "JFE Group Joint Seminar on Male Maternity Leave" online, with a total of approximately 200 participants from the three companies.

In the seminar, an outside lecturer introduced the positive impact of male childcare leave on the workplace, and in the panel discussion, employees who took male childcare leave at each company and supervisors whose subordinates took male childcare leave engaged in a lively exchange of opinions. The panel discussion featured a lively exchange of opinions between employees who have taken male childcare leave at their respective companies and supervisors whose subordinates have taken male childcare leave.

Participants commented that they were able to visualize concrete preparations for taking childcare leave, and that the event provided an opportunity to think about how they will work after returning to work.

The JFE Group is working toward the goal of having all male employees take childcare leave and childcare-related leave, and will continue to promote the development of systems and environments that make it easier for employees to balance work and childcare.
