On October 19, JFE Shoji Electronics Corporation (JELE), a JFE Shoji Group company, participated in the "4th Otemachi Intercompany Long Rope Tournament" and won second place! The competition was part of the "Tokyo Sankei Building Autumn Festival 2023" event held at the Tokyo Sankei Building SHOPS & RESTAURANTS, the flagship building of the Sankei Building Corporation, from October 16 to 31, with 12 company teams participating.
We decided to participate in this event in the hope that it would provide an opportunity for employees to deepen their relationships with each other, as opportunities for internal get-togethers have decreased due to changes in working styles after the Corona Disaster. On the day of the event, teams of 10 competed to see how many consecutive jumps they could make in 5 minutes. The JELE team, made up of young, mid-career, and veteran members of different generations, did a great job of winning second place despite not having much time to practice since they decided to participate in the event! The employees who came to cheer them on also joined in the excitement and a sense of unity was felt.
One of the participants commented, "I am happy to have achieved a good result of second place, but it is frustrating because we were so close to winning the championship. I want to try again! and "I want to try again! Cheering supporters also commented, "I was entertained by the seriousness of the contestants. It's been a while since I've been so excited! I have been excited for a long time! In the electronics industry, which requires constant evolution, the "teamwork" that JELE has always valued was on full display. We will continue to strengthen our teamwork through events like this!
