On September 12, JFE Shoji Trade Tail One Corporation (Tail One), a JFE Shoji Group company, received the Best Paper Award for the second year in a row at the 20th Technical Paper Presentation on Civil Engineering, Building and Construction Materials organized by the Building Materials Technical Committee of JFE Steel Corporation. The awarding of the Best Paper Award to Group companies began last year, and this year a total of 85 research papers were presented by JFE Group companies. Tail One presented two papers, of which "Development of a Monitoring System for Efficient Maintenance Management of Civil Engineering Infrastructure," presented by Mr. Kubota, was selected for the Outstanding Paper Award.

In the course of its sales activities, Tail One realized the seriousness of the aging of civil engineering infrastructure and the accompanying growing need for infrastructure maintenance and management. Therefore, we proceeded to write the paper, hoping to convey the potential and attractiveness of the civil infrastructure maintenance and management market from a sales perspective.
This time, Shuhei Kubota of the Kanto Branch served as the presenter, with co-authors Takehiko Nitta and Yuki Tomoshige of the Engineering Department in attendance.

The company has already come up with a number of candidates for the theme of the award, with the aim of winning it for the third consecutive year.
