NEW BEC in Thailand built a new cafeteria!
NEW BANGPOO MANUFACTURING CO., LTD. (Location: Thailand, hereinafter referred to as "NEW BEC") newly constructed a cafeteria, which had been used since the days of BANGPOO ENGINEERING, its predecessor before the company was founded (February 1996), and which had become old and decrepit, and completed it on September 1. The previous cafeteria was a half-open space with only a roof, and although it was open, it had no walls. The dining hall was open, but had no walls. As a result, there was a lot of dust, and pallets were laid on the dirt floor in the cooking area, which was not a very sanitary environment. Of course, there was no air conditioning. The area was not large enough for all employees to eat together, which affected meal times and communication.
In addition, the company did not have a large meeting room, so a cafeteria was used instead of a meeting room, but it could not accommodate everyone, so safety meetings and other meetings had to be held separately.
With the construction of the new building, air conditioning was installed, which had been a long-held desire, and the space was expanded to provide seating for approximately 200 employees at the same time. This not only made it possible for employees to gather together for a comfortable meal break, but also made it possible to hold meetings at once, which had previously been held in separate sessions due to space limitations. At the same time, the lockers and restrooms for employees were also renovated and housed in the same building, resulting in a much improved work environment. In addition, the storeroom, equipment warehouse, maintenance room, and driver's waiting room were relocated and consolidated in the same cafeteria building, which improved the work flow within the premises and led to increased work efficiency.
One of the employees commented, "I look forward to enjoying a meal in the clean and comfortable cafeteria, and it refreshes me. I am very grateful for the construction of the cafeteria. The work environment has improved dramatically. I will use it so that we can keep it clean. I am very thankful for the air conditioner because it is very hot in Thailand. Not only the cafeteria, but also the restrooms and lockers have been cleaned up, which I think is very admirable. These and many other comments have been received with great pleasure and have led to increased motivation among employees.
