On May 17 and 18, JFE Shoji Trade Corporation's Americas Business Division invited IT managers from group companies in North America (the United States, Canada, and Mexico) to its headquarters in Long Beach, California, for an IT meeting.

With the recent increase in the use of IT in business, the scope of IT operations in the North American region is expanding and becoming more important. Therefore, in order to realize efficient and effective IT operations in the region, the Americas Business Division discussed common themes (e.g., compliance with laws and regulations, information security, and business infrastructure enhancement) with IT managers from each company.

The meeting was held in a friendly atmosphere, and many constructive opinions were exchanged, leading to the promotion of IT business collaboration among the regional group companies.

The Americas Business Division will continue to strengthen cooperation among IT departments in order to contribute to business stability and growth in the North American region.
