OB band "Janrath" held a breakup live concert!
The band group "Janrath" led by Mr. Nobuo Takeoka, an alumnus of JFE Shoji Trade (then Kawatetsu Shoji), held a breakup live on April 23, bringing the curtain down on 31 years of activity. Yanrath was an amateur rock band that played mainly Western music from the 1950s to 1970s, including Elvis, the Beatles, the Eagles, Clapton, the Carpenters, country, Hawaiian, etc. After Mr. Takeoka retired, he called on his friends from his college light music club and regrouped them. after 2020, about After four years of inactivity due to Corona, the band decided to hold a breakup live concert to thank all those who have supported them.
In the past, Janrath's music has been delivered to many people through a total of 52 live performances over the past 26 years at venues such as Billboard Live Osaka, the highest live music venue in Japan, and Blues Alley Japan, a long-established live music venue in Tokyo.
The total number of audience during the 26 years was far more than 10,000 people, and the band was called a "phoenix, miracle band" and "rehabilitation band" despite the fact that many of the members were sick. Kawasho alumni came to support and participate as members in these Yanrath activities, and a total of seven people joined Yanrath at various times. (Mr. Masao Ogawa, Mr. Hiroshi Maeda, Mr. Toshiharu Kimura, Mr. Hideo Shiomi, Mr. Hirohiko Murakami*, Mr. Shinichi Koseki*, and Mr. Masanori Namba* (3 of them are still in the band).
In addition to music, the group was also active in social contribution activities, such as fundraising during live performances (370,000 yen for the Tohoku earthquake, 160,000 yen for Corona medical workers), and their activities were featured in the Yomiuri Shimbun. Mr. Takeoka said, "There were many times when it was difficult to manage the company, such as member turnover, but it is thanks to our customers and members that I have been able to live my "best life" after retirement! He also sent words of gratitude, saying, "Life after retirement is long! Find something fun, something you want to do, have goals, and make many friends. To lead an enjoyable life, building relationships is the most important thing," he encouraged current employees.
