JFE Shoji Trade and JFE Shoji Service invited students from Tokyo Metropolitan Adachi Special Needs School to participate in a practical sales event of bread for the fourth time on February 2 and February 9. On both days, we sold nearly 400 pieces of about 40 kinds of handmade bread made by students of the school, which were purchased by more than 100 employees of JFE Shoji Group and sold out in about an hour.

In addition to original breads such as "Anpan," the school's specialty, which is handmade from red bean paste and branded with the school emblem, and "Sweet Potato Bread," made from sweet potatoes grown at the school, there was a wide variety of products, from side dishes such as chikuwa bread and pizza bread to sweets such as pound cake and handmade anmitsu The breads were brought in, displayed, and sold. The students themselves performed a series of sales-related tasks, such as bringing in the bread, displaying it, restocking, sterilizing the trays, and working the cash register. The handbags, which the students handmade using English newspapers, were a big hit with the buyers. Employees who visited the store commented, "There are more varieties than I expected, I can't decide what to buy," and "They all look delicious and I am looking forward to eating them.

We hope that this kind of simulated work experience will help them to "imagine themselves working. We will continue to hold hands-on sales as part of our educational contribution activities in the future.
