We went to Kanda Myojin Shrine to pray for safety!
On January 10, JFE Shoji President Kobayashi, Executive Vice President Tsumura, Executive Vice President Sakamoto, and members of the Safety and Health Team of the Engineering Department prayed for the safety and health of JFE Shoji Group employees and their families at Kanda Myojin Shrine. In previous years, the team had visited Kanda Myojin in January to pray for safety, but due to the impact of the new coronavirus, this was the first time in three years that the entire team had come together to pray for safety.
In manufacturing sites, where hazardous items such as large equipment coexist with people, the risk of accidents is non-existent, and the JFE Shoji Group, based on the philosophy that "safety takes precedence over everything else," is committed to improving employee awareness of safety and maintaining a safe work environment to prevent industrial accidents from occurring. We are working on "safety and health activities" to ensure that employees can work and perform their duties with peace of mind.
Every year, we set a "Safety and Health Activity Policy," and in 2023, we will promote activities with an emphasis on "preventing accidents caused by the five major risks (moving objects, suspended loads, transport vehicles, elevated places, and construction work)" and "reviewing past accidents at the company.
JFE Shoji Group employees come to work in the morning, work safely throughout the day, and return home as usual. We will keep our eyes on the future so that we can do the things we take for granted.
I wish you all a safe and prosperous New Year!
