On Friday, November 18, JFE Shoji Trade's Western Steel Division held a joint training session for Group company salespeople. The purpose of the training was to "improve the level of sales persons at JFE Shoji Group companies and contribute to raising the level of the JFE Group as a whole". 17 employees from each company participated in the training. On the day of the training, General Manager Kitajima of JFE Shoji Trade and General Manager Tsuchiya of JFE Steel spoke about "what I want to convey from my own experience" and "the mindset of a sales person based on my experience. In addition, a lecturer from Business Consultants, Inc. was invited to talk about "abilities required of salespeople," "methods for selecting sales targets," and "various methods of analysis. As a follow-up assignment, participants created an "action plan" based on what they learned in the training, and submitted it to the presidents and supervisors of their respective companies.
　This was a good opportunity for participants to recognize their own strengths, challenges, and areas for improvement in sales activities, to clarify their attitudes and specific initiatives for future sales activities, and to be stimulated by exchanges and networking among salespeople in the same group. Participants also expressed their changes in awareness after the training, such as "It was a good opportunity to look at myself again," "I was nervous because it was my first opportunity, but I was inspired to work harder as well as gain knowledge," and "It was good to participate in a meeting to share ideas and concerns with other coil center salespeople.
