In response to the revision of the Child Care and Family Care Leave Law in October this year, JFE Shoji Trade held an online seminar for male employees on September 20 (Tuesday) during the lunch hour.
　The seminar was open to a wide range of employees regardless of gender or job classification, and was attended by approximately 30 participants, including non-male employees. Mr. Maehara of Life Portfolio, Inc. was invited to give a lecture on the necessity of taking childcare leave, financial support during childcare leave, communication for taking childcare leave, building a system during the leave, and how to spend time before and after taking childcare leave. Participants commented that they were glad to learn about specific ways to take childcare leave, including the lecturer's experience, and that they were able to think about childcare leave from the perspective of both the company and the person taking the leave.
　We will continue to promote seminars and various other initiatives to create a better working environment for our employees.
