Safety sensors are being introduced!
The JFE Shoji Group establishes a policy for safety and health activities every year based on the basic principle of "Safety takes precedence over everything else. As a measure to prevent accidents caused by contact with moving objects, we have been introducing safety sensors at Group processing centers in Japan and overseas, and have installed approximately 1,000 safety sensors since their introduction in 2019. We are also promoting the installation of safety fences and covers to eliminate occupational accidents in which workers' hands or feet are caught or entangled in machinery. In addition to these hardware improvements, we will continue to improve employee safety awareness, including rule compliance, to realize a safer working environment.
