On August 22 (Mon.), the labor union held an online seminar inviting Hirofumi Higashimatsu, a "Lehman Traveler" who has traveled around the world on weekends while working at a major advertising agency. The seminar was held with the hope that it would provide an opportunity for participants to review their own lives and how they use their time. 45 employees participated in the seminar.
　During a trip to Los Angeles alone on a GW trip in his third year of work, Mr. Higashimatsu learned that "there are people all over the world who are enjoying their lives so much," which awakened his interest in travel. Since then, he has been traveling abroad 7 to 8 times a year. He is currently active as a "travel professional" appearing in and writing for numerous media outlets. At the seminar, he spoke about new ways of working as a salaryman and the positive impact of his experiences on his main job. Participants commented that the seminar was a good opportunity for them to review how they spend their weekend time, and that it was stimulating to learn not only how to spend their weekends in a meaningful way, but also how to be a member of society.
