Safety Awareness Raised through Hazard Simulation Training
In June, a total of eight employees, including new recruits, participated in hazard simulation training held by JFE Logistics Osaka Distribution Center on the 21st and 23rd of each month. In the first half of the training, participants listened intently to a lecture-style class that included an understanding of the law, definitions of occupational accidents, and Heinrich's Law, as well as examples of actual cases. In the second half, participants actually experienced the hazards in several cases that could occur in the workplace.

Sheet Metal and Tinplate Department/ Mr. Yamane
In the lecture, I learned that the anxiety that arises from overconfidence that "everything will be fine" is the cause of all actions, and through the actual training, I experienced firsthand how a slight lapse in awareness can lead to a major accident.
Mr. Shimizu, Heavy Plate Mill
Witnessing the moment when a mannequin was actually caught in a machine, I was terrified and thought, "Dangerous! I was terrified. I felt that knowledge and awareness are the most important things to prevent what I saw in the training from becoming a reality.
Mr. Nakagawa, Sheet Metal and Tinplate Room
I was reminded that onsite, we are always in a situation where we are always next to danger. I keenly felt that we should be aware of potential dangers and the possibility of dealing with them beforehand, even when dealing with just one of our day-to-day requests.
The JFE Shoji Group will continue to actively engage in safety and health activities to create a workplace where employees can work in a safe and comfortable environment based on our basic philosophy, "Safety takes precedence over everything else.
