Omi Sangyo held a crane slinging workshop
On May 7, Omi Sangyo held a training session on crane slinging, as the JFE Shoji Group has set "regular implementation of practical training on crane slinging" as a priority implementation item in its safety and health activity policy for 2022.
The workshop was held at the company's plant and attended by about 50 employees. After the plant manager explained the correct work procedures, the participants operated nine cranes one by one for two hours to reconfirm the work procedures. The repetition of the exercise helped the participants to memorize the procedures physically, as well as to ensure that they were aware of the importance of pointing and calling out the names of the crane operators. After the workshop, I feel that the participants are now able to speak out more clearly than before.
We will continue to hold regular training sessions to further raise employee awareness of safety.
