Employees come for a break from work to grab a drink and have a chat!
In May 2022, JFE Shoji Trade opened the "Maru Cafe" in a part of the office space at its head office. By providing a place where employees can casually chat with each other when coming to work, the café aims to invigorate offline communication. The café is equipped with an authentic drink machine that drips coffee and slowly brews tea from tea leaves. In addition, to provide a topic of conversation for employees who come to get a drink, signage has been installed to show news, today's fortune telling, and company information, and scraps of articles introducing employees from the PR magazine have been prepared on mini-tables. In the future, the company will consider expanding the introduction of this system to other locations besides the head office.
As the interview team was looking at the new employee introduction issue of the PR magazine while taking pictures, someone asked from the side, "Do you have mine?" One of them asked me, "Do you have any of mine? This is a place where we can casually talk with employees from other departments.
