JFE Shoji Power Canada Inc. (JSC), a JFE Shoji Group company based in Ontario, Canada, held a leadership training program from November last year to March this year, in which 21 of JSC's executives participated.

The training was aimed at improving the awareness of managers, facilitating their team management, and raising the level and motivation of the entire company. The training included a lecture by an outside lecturer on awareness and attitude toward work, followed by small group discussions based on specific topics.

Participants commented, "Through the training, we became more aware of our roles as required by the company and shareholders," "I acquired the habit of thinking and practicing how to concentrate on tasks that only I can do and how to inspire my subordinates to move the entire team forward," and "My awareness of contributing to the company as a whole was further enhanced. JSC will continue to strengthen its human resource development initiatives, such as training courses for plant managers.
