JFE Shoji Tinplate Center ("J Tinplate"), a group company of JFE Shoji, held a "10th Anniversary Celebration" at Hotel Monterey La Suire Osaka on October 17.
Keiichi Nishino, the company's first president, and all eight of his predecessors, as well as employees, attended this event, bringing the total number of participants to 50 to celebrate this milestone.
J-Bri was formed in October 2015 through the business merger of JFE Shoji Osaka Tinplate Center and Shin Kiyoyi Kogyo; a party commemorating the merger was held at the same venue on the same day 10 years ago, making this celebration a special opportunity to look back on the history of the company.
At the ceremony, Mr. Nishino, the first president of JFE Shoji, spoke of the hardships he faced during his three years at the company, saying, "The three years since I was appointed in 2002 were the most difficult of my life, as I worked to rebuild the company. Mr. Ohashi, the third president and current JFE Shoji Trade Director and Senior Managing Executive Officer, led the toast.
Mr. Tanaka, the current president, introduced the history of the company from 2002, when Kawatetsu Shoji (now JFE Shoji) took a stake in the company, to the present. Looking back on episodes during the tenure of past presidents, all participants shared the ups and downs of the company's history.
In addition, the raffle draw with prizes sponsored by past presidents was presented by Mr. Noda, the second president, and Mr. Kitajima, the fourth president (current president of JFE Shoji Konan Steel Corporation), and the audience was very excited.

Through this milestone event, JBRI has renewed its determination to grow day by day with a spirit of challenge, aiming for further progress for the next 10 to 20 years, while inheriting its traditions.
