JFE Steel Corporation held a tour of JFE Steel Chita Works!

On September 26, the Materials & Equipment Division held a tour at JFE Steel Chita Works, which was attended by about 20 people, mainly young employees belonging to the Materials & Equipment Division.

The day started with an overview presentation by Mr. Miyake, General Manager of the General Affairs Office at JFE Steel's Chita Works. This was followed by a tour of the small-diameter seamless pipe, history pipe, and medium-diameter pipe plants, as well as the biotope on the premises. In the afternoon, the participants were able to learn about the series of processes from manufacturing to sales and recycling through an introduction of activities by the Chita Materials & Equipment Office of JFE Shoji Trade, an explanation of the scrap business by Mr. Harada, General Manager of the Metal Recycling Office of JFE Shoji Trade, and an introduction of production control operations by Mr. Tanabe, Chief Manager of the Production Control Office of JFE Steel Corporation.

Participants commented that "seeing the actual manufacturing site made the connection with their daily work clearer" and "learning about the initiatives of the Chita Works made me feel the sense of unity of the JFE Group.
