On August 7, as part of its social contribution activities, JFE Shoji Group held an in-house blood donation drive at the Shin-Otemachi Building, where its group companies are located. 33 people participated in the event.

The blood drive, which has been held twice a year since 2014, is now in its 17th year, with a total of more than 730 people having participated to date.

While the number of blood donors is on a downward trend during the summer months as many people refrain from going outside due to the heat, blood used for transfusion cannot be stored for a long period of time and must therefore be secured on an ongoing basis.
For this reason, the JFE Shoji Group conducts blood drives during the summer months to contribute to a stable supply of blood in the medical field.

The blood donation takes only about 40 minutes and can be done casually during working hours, making it a familiar and easy social contribution activity that has become a firm fixture in our company.
An employee who participated for the 10th time said, "I am happy to be able to help others, and it is also a good opportunity for me to check my health. I would like to continue to participate.

In addition to saving the lives of many patients, employees are happy to be able to check their own blood status through the blood donation app, which allows them to both contribute to society and manage their health.

JFE Shoji Trade will continue to conduct in-house blood drives in the future to promote social contribution activities.
