The 7th Overseas Plant Managers' Meeting" was held by the Technical Management Department at JSSM.

On July 17, the Technical Management Department held the 7th Overseas Plant Managers' Meeting at JFE Shoji Steel Malaysia Sdn. This conference, attended by a total of 30 participants from 13 overseas Group companies, has been held once a year since 2017 at the plants of overseas Group companies based on the "Plant Operation Standards" established by the Department, with the purpose of sharing information on improvements made by each company and horizontally deploying them.
This year, after introducing examples of JSSM's improvements, such as "equipment safety improvement" and "activities to improve safety, quality, and operational control levels," participants observed the examples at the plants. Participants spent a meaningful time looking at the equipment up close and actively asking questions about the details of the improvement case studies and the difficulties encountered.
In the afternoon, a question-and-answer session on the improvement case studies and the factory tour was held. Enthusiastic questions and suggestions from each company and heated discussions ensued, exceeding the scheduled time by a long shot.

The participants were eager to apply the JSSM case studies to their own improvements and to share and improve each other's opinions and experiences, reaffirming the importance of exchanging opinions and sharing information among group companies.

The Technical Management Department will continue to plan and operate activities such as the "Overseas Plant Managers' Meeting" to support Group companies in improving their plant management capabilities.
