On June 26, JFE Shoji Trade Service and JFE Shoji Trade Corporation held a hands-on bakery sales event for students of Adachi Special Needs School of Tokyo Metropolitan Government.
This activity started in 2021, and this year marks the fifth year since JFE Shoji Service proposed the bread sales training at our facility as a part of the students' social experience.

In this practical sales event, students themselves perform all processes from production to sales and service, including baking, carrying in and displaying, disinfecting trays, and cashiering, with the aim of gaining experience in a wide range of tasks and acquiring practical skills.

The event has now become one of the JFE Shoji Group's social contribution activities, and on the day of the event, there was a long line of employees looking forward to the handmade bread even before it went on sale. The students' handmade paper bags made from English newspapers were also appreciated by the buyers.

This year, a total of five events are scheduled to be held at Otemachi Financial City North Tower, where JFE Shoji Trade's head office is located, and at the Shin-Otemachi Building, where the JFE Shoji Group is located.

The JFE Shoji Group hopes that the work experience will provide students with an opportunity to "imagine themselves working. JFE Shoji Group will continue its social contribution activities by providing opportunities for students to gain work experience.
