JFE Shoji Electronics participated in the firefighting and disaster prevention drill of "Dojima Avanza" where the Osaka Branch Office is located!

On May 23, a building-wide fire and disaster drill was held at "Dojima Avanza," where the Osaka Branch Office is located. 740 people from 71 tenant companies participated in the drill, including 34 employees from the JFE Shoji Group.

The evacuation drill was conducted under the assumption that an earthquake with an epicenter off the coast of Wakayama Prefecture caused a seismic intensity of just under 6 on the Japanese seismic scale in Osaka City, and that a fire broke out among the tenants in the building.
As soon as the drill was announced over the building-wide broadcast, employees quickly donned helmets and hid under desks to practice their emergency responses. After safety was confirmed, some employees volunteered to go down the emergency stairs from the 17th floor to the 1st floor, and the person in charge of each tenant reported the number of evacuees, thus completing the evacuation drill.
Afterwards, a firefighter explained how to use a fire extinguisher, and participants learned practical skills in initial firefighting drills using actual training extinguishers. Participants also learned how to behave in a smoky environment using a smoke tent, where they learned how to behave under conditions of poor visibility.

The JFE Shoji Group will continue to actively participate in disaster drills to enhance employee safety awareness.
