CMT held Songkran Festival!

On April 11, Central Metals (Thailand) Ltd. ("CMT"), a group company of Sumitomo Corporation, held the "2nd Songkran Festival" at its premises. CMT has been holding the Songkran Festival since last year as an annual event before the long vacation period, with the aim of deepening the sense of unity among employees.

On the day of the festival, employees wore colorful flower-patterned shirts prepared in advance, and the event took place in a friendly and pleasant atmosphere. Particularly noteworthy was the "Rotnam Damhua" (water sprinkling ceremony), which was held to show respect to superiors. In this ceremony, employees took turns to show their respect and gratitude by sprinkling water and flower petals on President Nakajima, Director Sekisang, and Japanese expatriates seated next to the altar.
The management presented each employee with a small electric fan as a token of appreciation for their daily work and as a memento to help them cope with the heat, a pleasant surprise for the employees, especially in Thailand, where it gets especially hot in April. At the end of the event, President Nakajima himself saw the employees off on their way home, wishing them a safe trip home and happy time with their families, and the employees returned home with warm feelings.

This event was more than just a traditional festival; it was a valuable opportunity for employees to unite and deepen their sense of unity in the workplace.
CMT will continue to value the bonds among employees and strive to grow together.
