Participated in "WFP Walk the World for Africa 2025 Osaka"!

On Sunday, May 18, a total of seven people, including Mr. Kiyosue, General Manager of Osaka/Stainless Steel & Specialty Steel Department, five employees and their families, participated in the "WFP Walk the World for Africa 2025 Osaka" held at Expo '70 Commemorative Park in Suita City, Osaka Prefecture. This charity walk is organized by the United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) to help end hunger and poverty in developing countries. This year, 1,723 people participated, raising 1,377,025 yen, which will be used to deliver school lunches to approximately 45,000 African children.

On the day of the event, the weather cleared up from the rainy forecast, and it was rather hot. The participants enjoyed the magnificent backdrop of the Tower of the Sun, which is rarely seen, the beautiful rose garden, and the lush greenery of the park, all of whom were sweating profusely as they walked. The youngest participant this time was "Ito-chan," 0 years old, the eldest daughter of Mr. Nakamura of the Stainless Steel and Special Steel Sheet Room! While her mom and dad worked hard walking, Ito-chan slept comfortably in a stroller with a fan, which was a comforting sight for everyone.

Aiming to contribute to the local community and bring about sustainable change, the Osaka Branch Office will continue to actively address social issues with passion.
