On March 8, the 39th Kawasaki Cup was held at Ace Sports Plaza Ichikawa in Ichikawa City, Chiba Prefecture, with 12 participants from the JFE Shoji Group. This is a historical tennis tournament that has been held since 1982, in which the four former companies of the Kawasaki Group (JFE Steel Corporation, Kawasaki Heavy Industries, Kawasaki Kisen Kaisha, and JFE Shoji Trade Corporation) participate.
This year, the tournament was played in a league format, with the four companies competing against each other in a six-game match format, with four men's doubles teams and two women's doubles teams playing in the team competition.
Mr. Aragaki and Ms. Sugiyama of the Business Process Innovation Team, who were participating for the first time at our company, played very well. The result of the tournament was 4th place out of 4 companies, which is the same ranking as in previous years, but it was a good opportunity for all participants to get to know each other better.
