On February 15, the Sheet Metal Department of the Western Steel Division held a futsal tournament at Cerezo Futsal Park in Kita-ku, Osaka City, attended by eight supplier coil centers.
The tournament has been held since 2017 as part of the activities of the Koryukai, which aims to expand sales of JFE Steel products and other sheet metal products.
This year was the fourth time the tournament was held, with the exception of the Corona Disaster, and the format was changed from the previous softball tournament to a futsal tournament. The results of the tournament showed that JFE Shoji Konan Steel Center won the championship, with Sankyo Noritake Kogyo in second place and a joint team of Naigai Steel and JFE Shoji in third place. After the competition, a reception was held at Hotel Plaza Osaka with a total of eight companies including Omi Sangyo, Osaka Kohatsu, Godai Sangyo, and Hironai Steel. The winning team was introduced and the MVP was announced.
