On February 18, 32 volunteer employees of JFE Shoji Group's Osaka Branch participated in the "Osaka Marathon "Clean UP" Operation" held by Dojima Avanza, where the Osaka Branch is located.
This event is held every year to welcome the participants of the Osaka Marathon on February 24 in a "clean city".
Despite the unstable weather and freezing cold weather, 73 people from 13 companies that reside in the Dojima Avanza gathered at 4:00 pm.
The participants cleaned up the Avanza open space and surrounding streets for approximately 30 minutes, collecting a total of 18.5 kg of trash, up from 9.5 kg last year.

One of the employees who participated in the cleanup said, "I am used to going to work on this street, but when I looked down at it again, I was surprised to see more trash than I expected. It was surprising to see how much trash I could see when I looked down again," said one of the employees who participated in the event.
　The JFE Shoji Group will continue to promote social contribution activities such as street cleanups as a unified group.
