Social Contribution Activities] "Bread Sales Training" by Tokyo Metropolitan Adachi Special Support School

JFE Shoji Trade Service Corporation and JFE Shoji Trade Service welcomed students from Adachi Special Needs School in Tokyo on February 25th to participate in the "Bread Sales Practice".

This activity started in 2021, when JFE Shoji Service Corporation visited the school and learned of the bread sales in the local community, and proposed the sales training at our facility. In this practical training, students themselves perform all processes from production to sales and service, including baking, carrying in and displaying, disinfecting trays, and cash registers, with the aim of gaining experience in a wide range of tasks and acquiring practical skills.

The event has become a well-established social contribution activity of the JFE Shoji Group, with employees looking forward to each sale, and the event is so successful that approximately 300 loaves of bread and sweets are sold out within 30 minutes of the start of the event. The number of breads sold and the variety of breads gradually increased over the years, and many people said, "I want to try making new breads! I want to sell more! The event has become an opportunity for students to experience firsthand their enthusiasm and growth as they seek to make new breads and sell more.

The JFE Shoji Group will continue its social contribution activities by providing opportunities for students to gain work experience.
