JSSP introduces measures to raise employees' health awareness!
JFE Shoji Steel Philippines, Inc. (JSSP) is committed to creating a workplace environment where employees can work in good health and with peace of mind, and to contributing to the local community.
Here are some of JSSP's activities.
Blood Donation Activities
On October 22, 2024, JFE Shoji Steel Philippines, Inc. (JSSP) held a blood drive in cooperation with the Santa Rosa Chapter of the Philippine Red Cross Society, in which a total of 34 employees participated. This blood drive has been held every year since 2017, and employees are encouraged to feel free to participate.
Some employees donated blood for the first time, while others donated blood for the ninth time!
After the blood donation, light refreshments are served and employees have a chance to chat.
JSSP employees will continue to actively participate in blood donation activities, believing that "a drop of blood can extend someone's life.
Promoting Health Checkups
On the same day, annual health checkups were also conducted at the Laguna Diagnostic Clinic, with a total of 90 employees participating.
In the Philippines, the rate of employees receiving health checkups is not as high as in Japan, but JSSP believes that it is very important to receive health checkups and to undergo reexaminations and treatment as necessary to prevent lifestyle-related diseases, detect illnesses early, and maintain good health.
For this reason, we encourage employees to take advantage of their work hours to have health checkups in-house and free of charge, and many employees participate in these checkups.
Physical measurements, blood tests, electrocardiograms (ECG), chest X-rays, hearing and vision tests were conducted, and employees were pleased to see each other's health.
JSSP is sincerely committed to creating a workplace where employees can work in good health and with peace of mind, and to contributing to the local community, and will continue to implement a variety of measures in the future.
