JFE Group exhibited at Eco Pro 2024!

Together with JFE Steel Corporation and JFE Engineering Corporation, JFE Shoji Trade Corporation exhibited at Eco Pro 2024 held at Tokyo Big Sight from December 4 to 6, 2012. The purpose of this exhibition is to introduce innovative technologies, products, and services to solve environmental and other social issues, and to provide a venue for interaction with stakeholders and for SDGs education for children.

At the booth, we introduced various initiatives related to the "circular economy," including the high recyclability of steel, environmentally friendly steel products, power generation technology using waste materials, and PET bottle recycling technology. We also displayed actual palm coconut shells and wood pellets handled by our Biomass Fuels Department.

The hands-on exhibits were particularly popular, with visitors lining up to see a water tank made of marine blocks derived from slag and a simulated tour of a steel mill that utilizes VR technology.

Furthermore, a quiz was given at each panel, and when the participants received a commemorative gift from the group CM, the children who received the gifts were seen humming "Sasutetsu Nubble♪" in their mouths, which made them smile.

The event ended on a high note, with approximately 3,600 people visiting the JFE Group booth throughout the duration of the "eco-pro 2024" event.

Mr. Kitano, President of JFE Holdings, who visited the exhibition, commented, "Through the entire JFE Group, we will further strengthen our business that contributes to a recycling-oriented society.
