Social Contribution Activities] Tree Recycling by Picking Up Fallen Branches! An environmental activity event was held.
On Saturday, December 7, JFE Shoji Trade held an event to pick up fallen branches in Yoyogi Park as one of its social contribution activities related to the environment.
The event, which started in November 2023, is proving popular as a fun way to contribute to society while having fun with family members and pets. The Forest Lifestyle Institute, an NPO with strengths in forestry and environmental activities, provided advice and support for the event, which was attended by about 40 people including JFE Shoji Group employees and their families.
The collected fallen branches were turned into wood chips at a processing plant in the park, which will be used to maintain the roads and flower beds in the park. By collecting and using fallen branches, the park is beautified, injuries from falls are prevented, and the trees are recycled.

Blessed with fine weather, the event was held in a friendly atmosphere from start to finish, with the participating children freely moving around the park and collecting fallen branches. Some participants commented that the event was good exercise and that it was good for them to communicate with people from other departments with whom they do not normally have contact in their daily work.
The JFE Shoji Group will continue to promote various social contribution activities, including this environmental activity event, in an effort to realize a sustainable society.
