The Technical Management Department held the "13th Technical Report Meeting of Overseas Group Companies" for three days from October 30 in person for the first time in five years. The purpose of this meeting was to horizontally deploy information from each company and to encourage mutual growth. This time, 34 overseas staff members from 17 overseas group companies participated, presenting the results of their improvement activities in areas such as safety and health, quality, operations, facilities, and costs.

In the presence of President Kobayashi, five directors, and a managing executive officer, the overseas staff from each company gave enthusiastic presentations, and the audience listened to the presentations and asked questions about the improvement activities of each company. At the awards ceremony that followed, the president, vice presidents, and technical managers presented awards for the most outstanding activities of the year.

On the last day of the tour, the participants toured the manufacturing process at JFE Steel East Japan Works (Chiba District) to deepen their understanding of and attachment to the steel products they process in their daily work. The overseas staff members' eyes lit up when they saw for the first time the power of the converter furnace, continuous casting, and hot rolling facilities, and they even asked the plant manager a lot of questions. In the afternoon, they enjoyed sightseeing on their own. After spending a fulfilling three days in Japan, the overseas staff returned to their respective regions with fond memories of their time in Japan.

The JFE Shoji Group will continue to share the individual efforts of each group company to further improve productivity and safety.
