On September 26, Kawasho Foods Corporation, a JFE Shoji Group company, held an emergency first aid training session as an opportunity for many employees to acquire practical skills so that they can provide first aid in the event of a disaster. Approximately 20 employees participated in the training, learning "chest compressions" and "how to use an AED" from the Marunouchi Fire Department.

During the training, participants practiced cardiopulmonary resuscitation using the chest compressions method, in which the chest is pressed repeatedly against a training dummy. In the "How to use AED," participants experienced a series of procedures from checking breathing to administering electric shocks and chest compressions, following the instructions given by the AED.

The participants were nervous and took the training seriously, actively asking questions to the firefighters about the level of force used in chest compressions and specific responses in case of emergency. We will continue to conduct such drills in the future to ensure that we are ready to respond in the event of a disaster or emergency.
