Nagoya/Tokai Branch of JFE Shoji Trade Union held a cleanup activity and BBQ!

On June 29, the Nagoya/Tokai Branch of the JFE Shoji Trade Union held a cleanup activity and BBQ, which was attended by 45 people, including employees working at the Nagoya Branch and their families. The activities are designed to raise awareness of sustainability among union members, promote communication, and deepen mutual understanding between employees' families and the company.

On the day of the event, participants gathered at 11:00 a.m. at Jiyugaoka Station on the Meijo Municipal Subway Line and spent about 40 minutes cleaning up the roads and park grounds from Jiyugaoka Station to Heiwa Park, followed by a BBQ at Metasequoia Plaza in the park.

This activity promoted interaction across departmental and annual boundaries and allowed employees to communicate with people with whom they have little contact in their daily work. The event also provided a valuable opportunity for employees' families and children to participate and deepen their understanding of the company's atmosphere and employees' working environment. The event was very well received not only by the employees who participated but also by their families, and we plan to continue the event next year and beyond.
