After the end of the work day on May 29, JFE Food Bazaar held a "Wine Tasting Event" at the Shin-Otemachi Building, which was attended by 21 employees of the JFE Shoji Group. This event was held as an opportunity to casually try wines available on "JFE Food Bazaar" (JFE Group's exclusive e-commerce site operated by Kawasho Foods), and also to provide an opportunity for those who do not usually drink alcohol to experience wine.

Mr. Shigenori Izawa, Representative/Senior Sommelier of Verite Wine Consulting, Inc. who is in charge of wine selection at JFE Food Bazaar, was invited as a lecturer and talked about the process of wine production, characteristics of grapes depending on the region and climate, and tips on how to enjoy wines. The lecture was followed by a tasting of the wines. During the tasting that followed, participants enjoyed a marriage of wine and snacks on sale at the JFE Food Bazaar, along with Mr. Izawa's explanation of the wines. A quiz was also held to predict wine regions and grape varieties, allowing participants to learn while having fun.

Participants commented, "I want to use what I learned today to choose a wine at the store" and "From now on, I want to take time to think about the aroma, color, and taste of a wine before drinking it. JFE Food Bazaar plans to hold more events in the future to provide an opportunity for more people to enjoy wine.
