On April 21, eight JFE Shoji Group employees participated in the "Kasumigaura Marathon and International Blind Marathon 2024" held in Tsuchiura City, Ibaraki Prefecture, as corporate volunteers. The day of the marathon turned out to be a beautiful day, and the 13,000 participants set their own pace to complete the marathon.

Continuing from last year, the volunteers mainly operated the water station at the finish line area, guided runners to the venue, and assisted with commemorative photos of runners. On the day of the race, the weather was fine and the temperature rose sharply, and the water stations were crowded with runners seeking water. Many runners expressed their appreciation, and the interaction with spectators and volunteers from other companies provided an excellent opportunity to experience the fun and fulfillment of volunteer activities.

From the JFE Shoji Group, three employees, including Managing Executive Officer Adachi and others who volunteered last year, participated as runners and completed the race.

The JFE Shoji Group will continue to actively participate in volunteer activities and other social contribution activities to help create a sustainable society.
