On March 23, the "Klang Valley Sansui Kai", of which President Naruse of JFE Shoji Steel Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. of the JFE Shoji Group serves as chairman for fiscal 2024, held its 200th get-together golf competition.

The "Sansuikai" began meeting regularly on the third Wednesday of every month in 1989 for the purpose of exchanging information among four Japanese manufacturing companies based in Selangor, Malaysia. Today, many companies in the service, transportation, and banking industries have joined the group, bringing the total to 88 companies. Since the number of participating companies from not only Selangor but also from neighboring states has increased, the group has been renamed the "Klang Valley Sansuikai" this year.

The first golf competition was held in 1991 to activate communication among members. This year, the Ambassador and Mrs. Takahashi, the Ambassador of Japan to Malaysia, and Mr. Sawamura, the President of the Japanese Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Malaysia, were invited as guests, making this the 200th anniversary of the event. The day was very exciting, and members deepened exchanges with each other. Participants commented very favorably that "Sansuikai's social gatherings are very at-home and enjoyable.

This year, a total of six golf competitions are scheduled to be held, including get-togethers with the Ministry of Investment, Trade and Industry (MIDA) and the Sansuikai of Penang (Northern Malaysia). (467)
