In addition, we have a system in place to provide sheared products such as slit products and steel products that are more similar to finished products with secondary and tertiary processing to meet the needs of our customers.
Steel Sheet
We deliver thick and thin plate products used in a wide range of fields, including the automotive, electrical machinery, shipbuilding, construction machinery, and energy sectors.

For Automotive
Through the processing, distribution, and sales of automotive steel sheets, we play a role in the supply chain of car manufacturing and meet the diverse needs of domestic and overseas automakers.
In response to the recent tightening of environmental regulations worldwide, we are focusing on strengthening our supply chain for lightweight and strong high-tensile steel sheets (high tensile strength), which lead to lighter cars. We are meeting the local procurement needs of our customers by utilizing our global network of four bases (Japan, China, ASEAN, and the Americas), including our newly established processing and sales base in Mexico, in cooperation with the manufacturing bases of the JFE Group.

For electrical machinery
We handle steel products, mainly electromagnetic steel sheets and surface-treated steel sheets, for customers who manufacture products that support our daily lives by playing a role in the overall distribution of electricity, such as generators, transformers, home appliances, OA equipment, and electric vehicles.
We have established supply chains in four global regions: Japan, the Americas, China, and ASEAN. In recent years, we have expanded our business through the acquisition of a major Canadian electromagnetic steel sheet processing company and alliances with partner companies, and we boast the world's top level of handling volume for electromagnetic steel sheets used in transformers and motors. For further growth, we are responding to the growing demand for electric vehicles and electric power by entering new regions, expanding our supply chain by deepening our functions, and expanding competition with our partners.

For Shipbuilding, Construction & Industrial Machinery, Energy
We purchase thick and thin plates and sheets used for shipbuilding, construction and industrial machinery, offshore wind power generation, bridges, roof walls, etc. from JFE Steel and other steel manufacturers around the world, and respond to customer needs through speedy, proactive proposals and communications.
In Japan, we are enhancing our service functions with our unique manufacturing facilities, including integrated processing of blocks for shipbuilding, to increase the strength of thick plates and improve the efficiency of construction. Against the backdrop of slowing growth in steel demand over the medium to long term, we are building a competitive structure in the steel sheet business by strengthening cooperation among coil center companies, improving utilization rates, and appropriately allocating management resources.
Overseas, we are building a supply chain for steel sales and processing in the offshore wind power generation business, and expanding our product lineup through investments in local manufacturers in Vietnam and other countries. -

Stainless and specialty steel
Through our global procurement of materials and industry-leading supply chains for distribution and processing, we provide steel products that meet the needs of customers in a wide range of industries, including automobiles, kitchen equipment, construction machinery, building materials, and cutlery.
In addition to conventional sales of general-purpose materials, we are actively working to create new demand by proposing customers to switch from other materials. In addition, amid the recent rapid consolidation of supply sources in Japan, we are accelerating our efforts to develop new supply sources in Japan and overseas, and we are contributing to adding value to our customers' products by proposing optimal material utilization and processing schemes based on our knowledge and experience in a wide range of industries.

Construction materials
In Japan, we respond to customers' requests accurately and speedily by utilizing a wide variety of procurement sources in addition to JFE Group's commercial materials. Overseas, we are strengthening our efforts to capture demand for building materials in the ASEAN and North American regions, which are expected to grow.
JFE Shoji Steel & Construction Materials Corporation, which is responsible for the domestic construction materials field, will further strengthen its procurement capabilities from various sources, mainly JFE Group commercial materials, provision of functions using processing and logistics bases, and added value such as steel frame construction and deck construction, amid sluggish demand for steel materials for domestic construction due to the declining population. In addition, by organically linking the individual resources and networks (product types, regions, and group companies) that we have cultivated, we will provide a "one-stop service" for a wide range of commercial materials and functions that meet customer needs.

Steel pipes
JFE Shoji Trade is developing its business by establishing a supply chain, including processing and inventory, in order to promptly respond to needs in a wide range of fields by utilizing various procurement sources, including JFE Steel, both in Japan and overseas.
JFE Shoji Steel Pipe & Tubular Products Corporation, which is responsible for the domestic steel pipe and tubular products business, has 13 bases throughout Japan and has established a detailed, community-based system. In addition to sales of steel pipes and tubular products, the company has also established a processing supply chain in cooperation with affiliated companies and subcontractors. With the future growth of steel demand sluggish and the energy sector undergoing a transformation toward decarbonization, we will continue to contribute to our customers through prompt response and competitive proposals in the face of the expected diversification of customer needs.
