In order to accurately respond to diversifying market needs in a rapidly changing social environment, we will foster a culture of mutual recognition of the diverse values held by our employees, which will lead to the creation of new ideas and values and strengthen our competitiveness as a company.

As the core trading company of the JFE Group, we will actively engage in ESG management and contribute to the SDGs to become a company that is chosen by stakeholders and continues to grow sustainably.

Diversity Promotion Initiatives at JFE Shoji Trade Corporation
JFE Shoji Trade is promoting initiatives to foster a corporate culture in which diverse human resources can work in a variety of ways, and regularly holds diversity seminars for management, diversity management training for managers of Group companies, and e-learning programs for all employees. In addition, we are conducting diversity seminars for management, diversity management training for managers at Group companies, and e-learning for all employees on a regular basis.
In addition, from FY2022, a Diversity Promotion Committee has been established by management to share the diversity promotion policy and ensure the implementation of company-wide goals, thereby strengthening top-down initiatives.
For female employees, we are actively providing career support through a mentoring system (internal and external) and career training, etc. In June 2021, we received the "Eruvoshi" rating (the highest rating of 3 stars) from the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare for "excellent implementation of initiatives to promote women's activities".
Meetings are held to exchange information among employees on maternity leave so that they can continue to play an active role after their life events, and follow-up training is provided after their return to work.

As part of our efforts to foster awareness and a culture of diversity, we conduct diversity training and lectures for all levels of employees.

Promotion of male childcare leave/childcare-related leave

We encourage employees to take male childcare leave/childcare-related leave in order to create an environment in which employees can balance work and childcare.

Individual consultation for nursing care seminar

We support employees in balancing work and nursing care by reducing problems and burdens related to nursing care.
