Basic policy on the sustainability of our supply chain
The JFE Shoji Group, its customers and all of its stakeholders, led by the JFE Shoji Group, is a family of companies with the goal of continued growth and development and a strong corporate presence. In order to achieve this goal, we believe that ensuring the sustainability of our links is an important issue, and we have submitted a set of recommendations on human rights, mobility issues, and the global environment - our "Basic Policy for Ensuring the Sustainability of Our Links".
JFE Shoji Group is committed to providing our customers with the highest level of service. The JFE Shoji Group faces the goal of building a more sustainable and continuous supply chain by seeking to help its customers, who are primarily suppliers, understand and comply with the basic principles from which they can realize their own goals.

1. respect human rights
- We recognize the value of individual diversity, abide by international norms, and respect and preserve each person's human rights.
- Prohibit all forms of harassment, physical abuse, domestic abuse and other inhuman acts.

- Comply with the relevant laws and regulations of the country or region where the company operates, and ensure fair trade and anti-corruption.

- We will give due consideration to the protection of resources and the environment, and will continue to operate in a manner that is consistent with the environment.

Global Agreement of the United Nations
In April 2021, JFE Shoji Trade first signed the "United Nations Global Contract (hereinafter referred to as UNGC)" with the JFE Group, and became an official member of the "Global Contract Network of Japan (hereinafter referred to as GCNJ)". UNGC is a member of the UNGC.
UNGC is a global framework for companies and organizations to pass and grow continuously as a socially responsible and creative initiative, and as a civic action for the society. The companies and organizations that signed the UNGC agreement are based on 10 principles in the four areas of protecting human rights, eliminating injustice and wrongdoing, environmental practices, and anti-corruption, and will work tirelessly to realize this goal.
JFE Shoji Trade joined GCNJ at the same time as signing the UNGC. GCNJ is one of the world's home networks, and is the organization that promotes global contracting activities in Japan. We are a platform with the goal of continued growth, and outside of the activities of the GCNJ subcommittees, we also engage in conversations and learning through mutual collaboration between GCNJ members and through external collaboration, and at the same time we practice what we do through active cooperation.
We hope to participate in the GCNJ's understanding of the latest global trends in ESG and the activities of other member companies in the JFE Group, and at the same time make a contribution to the Group's ESG activities by promoting ESG activities in the Group.
