Stainless steel main raw materials
JFE Steel & Metals will steadily expand its business in the import and export of raw materials such as coking coal from blast furnaces*1 and other foreign countries, with a focus on the supply of essential raw materials for the steelmaking industry, such as steel, steelmaking materials and coal.
We collect information on demand for coking coal every day as the market environment and various commodity requirements change. We are currently focused on developing coal that can be used to make a positive contribution to the environment. In addition, we will also purchase steel from suppliers operating in the richly resourced regions of Australia and Spain. In the future, we will develop the use of raw materials*2 for the production of carbon monoxide, etc., as a measure to reduce CO2 emissions.

Blast Furnace Raw Materials Metal
From all global suppliers, we will decide to sell alloys, colored metals, special metals, etc. to domestic and overseas Stainless steel制造造 商.
With the risk of various risks, we are able to use our worldwide network to distribute our products to different countries and sources of supply, and provide our domestic Stainless steel manufacturers and clamping agents with the raw materials they need to be competitive. In addition, as overseas demand continues to increase, especially in Asia, we will participate in the silicon alloy manufacturing projects in Malaysia, and at the same time, we will also help develop trilateral trade with other countries.

Metal recovery and utilization
Under the trend of the realization of carbon neutrality in many countries by 2050, our company will actively contribute to the creation of a low-carbon society through the domestic and international trade of silicon steel.
The global mills are currently increasing their use of mills to reduce CO2 emissions from the use of raw materials for mills. This company fully utilizes domestic and international purchase and sales networks and shelves, through domestic trade, exit trade, foreign trade, and other various forms of trade to provide the steel.
-
Chemicals
We use domestic and international networks to sell a wide variety of raw materials, mainly from the coal chemistry industry, to all industries both domestically and internationally.
The raw materials used in our business include coal black for manufacturing wheels, industrial fertilizers, electric motors for carbon batteries, and electronic components such as 5G transmission systems. As well as, the Chemicals Department also manages the production of semi-permanent semi-fuel products, such as ( ), which is indispensable. These are all products that are manufactured by using by-products obtained during the production of natural gas.

Biomass fuel
The Japanese government has submitted a plan to achieve zero emissions of greenhouse gases by 2050, and as a core trading company of the JFE Group, we are committed to making a contribution to society as a whole by reducing CO2 emissions.
We sell semi-mineralized and neutral products such as palm kernel seeds (PKS), which are a by-product of palm oil imported from South East Asia and North America, wood quality sharpeners made from timber and briquetting, and semi-mineralized sharpeners that are used as alternative sources of coal, to various biotechnological power distributors in Japan.

Raw materials
Materials and equipment provided to Stainless steel , etc. in Japan, the East, India, South America, and Europe. The goal of the Information Equipment Department is to maintain a close relationship between suppliers and cross-businesses, while developing business plans from the customer's standpoint.
We are currently focused solely on the steel industry, but also participate in the electric power industry, making a contribution to the diffusion of renewable energy sources. Our focus is on the use of chemicals that can reduce the effects of heat transfer on the efficiency of pipelines and equipment, and we select the most suitable additives from both power companies and suppliers to increase the efficiency from the start. The measures we have taken in response to customer demand have won favorable reviews from many power companies and expanded the scope of our business activities across Japan, including thermal, hydro, and nuclear power.
