On January 19, the JFE Shoji Labor Union held a New Year's Bowling Tournament at Shibuya Bowling in Shibuya Station. 46 employees, ranging in age from new recruits to managers, participated in the event.
　The floor was reserved for a total of 11 teams of four competing for a total score of two games for a chance to win a grand prize, and the game started with a toast by Mr. Hicho of the JFE Shoji Trade Union, followed by heated competition between the teams.
　The award ceremony was hosted by Mr. Yuekawa of JFE Shoji Trade Union, and the team with the best score (the young team of Mr. Saeki from Electromagnetic Steel Sheet Trading Office, Mr. Arayama from Automotive Steel Products Trading Office 2, Mr. Otani from Cash & Exchange Office, and Mr. Nakagawa from Accounting Office 2) and the best individual score (Mr. Obata from Cash & Exchange Office and Mr. Tokiwaki from Recruitment & Training Office) were awarded. Mr. Obata and Ms. Tokiwagi of the Recruiting and Training Office) were presented with luxurious prizes.
Participants expressed their great satisfaction with the event, saying that it was a good opportunity to get involved with people from other departments, and that it was very enjoyable since they do not usually have the chance to do physical exercise.
